The Founding of LM76 Linear Motion Bearings

LM76 was foundedin 1973 when Warren Hamilton - then GM of J.C. Tarbell Associates ( founded in 1938 ) - was asked by a customer to consider designing a replacement for a linear ball bearings that were failing in his system. The linear ball bearings were failing due to rapil oscillation. Moreover, they were grooving expensive shafting. Warren used his knowledge of sleeve bearing design to enginnerour Black Racer Ceramic Coated Linear Bearing™. Since then, LM76 has engineered several versions off this ground breaking platform:

Stainless FDA/USDA Self Lube Linear Bearings
Ceramic Coated FDA Self Lubricated Bearings
and Bull Dog Self Lubricating Bearings.
