When LM76's President, John Tarbell first spoke with this customer's design engineer he ( the customer ) was having difficulty envisioning a one piece design that would work. We did it. Who would guess
this is a bearing!

APPLICATION

THIS MANUFACTURER HAD AN APPLICATION WHERE THEY HAD TO METER A PRECISE AMOUNT
OF HOT WAX.  WE DESIGNED A FLOW VALVE/BEARING THAT MADE IT HAPPEN.  WE MODIFIED A MULTIPLE PART DESIGN THAT REQUIRED SEALING, ROTATIONAL BEARING SURFACE AND PRECISE POSITIONING OF THE FLOW HOLES TO THE FLOW CONTROLLER.  BY UTILIZING A FILLED PTFE MATERIAL AND STAKING TWO PARTS TO A MACHINED, *ALODINE COATED ALUMINUM WITH STAINLESS STEEL PINS, WE WERE ABLE TO GUARANTEE SELF-LUBRICATION AND SEALING.  THE PTFE MATERIAL ENSURES THAT THERE IS NO BONDING OR GRABBING OF THE WAX TO THE BEARING SURFACES WHEN THE UNIT COOLS INSURING REPEATABLE PERFORMANCE -REGARDLESS OF THERMAL CYCLING ISSUES.  THE (PTFE) WE SPECIFIED HAS NON-ABRASIVE FILLERS - REQUIRED FOR RUNNING IN THE 300 SERIES STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING
